Back Button for Previous Slide
Letting us go back to see the previous slides would help to make sure we haven’t missed anything, without having to restart the lesson.

Salaam all 👋🏼
After popular request we added the back button to Jibreel! The idea of not including it in the first place was to encourage users to read each lesson carefully and not to rush through as without a back button you can’t rush (not going back!). However, others were finding that even if they pressed the next button accidentally they would have to repeat the entire lesson to get back to the page they were on and this was poor user experience (UX) so we decided to add it back!
I’ve now marked this as complete!

Inshallah this will be part of the next update (next few days).
We thought it might be good to experiment with not having one to see if it meant people would take each page slower and digest the information better as they went along.
Sort of how listening to a live lecture you might be more inclined to focus than when it’s on YouTube and you know you can just go back.
That being said based on the feedback we’ve received we’ve decided to add the back button functionality in now

Thank you very much for now adding the feature.
Now that I’ve actually used it in practice, I personally prefer not having the back button since it does encourage me to actually focus on the content and retain it. Now when a question comes up I don’t even recall the information from memory because I can just look back at the previous slides.
This is of course worse for my learning. Would it be possible for you to add an option in the settings to add or remove the back button (with the default being the back button removed for new users, aiding their learning)?
JazakaAllah khair,
Aayan
